Charles Henri Ford (1908-2002)
He was a true American maverick. Born in Mississippi, he edited two influential magazines (Blues & View), was a prolific poet, artist, collagist, film maker and co-author of America's first gay novel (1933). His friends & associates included Djuna Barnes, Gertrude Stein, Frida Kahlo, Paul Bowles, Pavel Tchelitchew, man Ray, Jean Genet, Marcel Duchamp, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol & many more during his long productive life. He is widely known as America's first & great surrealist.

Indra Tamang
He was born in 1953 in a small village near Kathmandu, Nepal. He befriended Charls in 1972 & became his collaborator & caregiver until his death. Together they traveled the world, living in Paris, Vrete, Greece, Kathmandu & finally The Dakota in NYC. Indra began taking photos in 1976 & has never stopped documenting the international art & poetry scene. He & his wife Radhika have one daughter, Zina. Indra also has two grown daughter from a previous marrige.
